Okay I’m definitely dating myself here, but I grew up surrounded by GLAM – Dynasty on TV, Danielle Steele and Jackie Collins books being traded by my mother and aunts, and the Material Girl herself, singing and dancing for the masses on Much Music every day.  Heck – even the GUYS gave the fashionistas a run for their money… right, The-Artist-Formerly-Known-As-Prince?

As a result, I loved dressing up, trying on different makeup and hair looks, and dressing, undressing and re-dressing my Barbies, based on whatever FAB party she was hosting, whatever gala was being thrown in her honour, whoever was getting marred (Okay it was usually chestnut-haired Tracy, the beautiful bride Barbie!)
