I recently laughed out loud at a cartoon recently shared by friends online… it read something to the effect of, “Dear Mother-in-Law, I don’t need you to teach me how to handle my children.  I’m living with one of yours, and he needs a lot of improvement!”

All kidding aside, there is a grain of truth to this.  If you’re lucky enough to have a partner who values and respects you and your role in the family, and sees both genders as equal, you likely have his family to thank!

Which leads us to this month’s AWESOME theme, Raising Boys to be Supportive Men.  I absolutely believe that we, as parents, have a huge responsibility to raise the next generation of men to be supportive brothers, friends, husbands, fathers.
